Job Title: Male Mental Health Worker - ACCHO - Mackay, Queensland.

Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time.

This Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in Mackay is NQSHS, ISO and AGPAL accredited and uses electronic record and billing systems. Position Description:
The clinic is currently accepting applications for a Male Mental Health Worker to join their Social Emotional and Wellbeing Team. Ideally the applicant will hold a Cert IV in Mental Health. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the local health systems on Mental Indigenous Health within the Mackay and surrounding Regions. The successful applicant will have the ability to have links within the community and advocate on behalf of Mental Health within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people, supporting both the SEWBU Team within the Mental Health guidelines.
After Hours Requirements: No
Salary Information: $70,000 - $76,747 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience.
About Mackay: Mackay is a City in Queensland, on Australia's east coast. Off the coast is a section of the Great Barrier Reef. Closer to shore are the islands of St. Bees, with reefs, rainforest and koalas, and Keswick, rich in marine life. Mackay itself is known for its Harbour Beach, marina and Bluewater Lagoon, a city water park. Inland from Mackay, Eungella National Park is a habitat for rare frogs and platypus.
