Your Experience You will bring a person-centred approach, placing the person at the centre of their service.
You will work collaboratively, tailoring your approach to the needs of the individual.
You will quickly establish rapport with clients and their families and have clear and effective communication skills.
You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in case notes and record-keeping.
You will be comfortable supporting adult clients with intellectual/physical disabilities, high medical needs, mental health diagnosed or high behavioural concerns.
Special requirements This role requires a male Support Worker who can assist our clients both in their home and out in the community.
Our clients live in the southern suburb of Dover Gardens.
There is a mandatory requirement of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, Epilepsy and Midazolam training.
Your Availability   There are 2 positions available.
Each sleep over shift below consists of a passive sleepover which are between 10:30pm to 6:30am.
Current shifts available for our client are as follows: Position 1 (38 hours per fortnight) : Week 1 Monday -  3pm - 8:30am (next day) Thursday - 3pm - 8:30am (next day) Week 2 Wednesday - 3pm - 8:30am (next day) Friday - 3pm - 8:30am (next day) Position 2 (32 hours per fortnight) : Week 1 Tuesday - 3pm - 8:30am (next day) Wednesday - 3pm - 8:30am (next day) Friday - 7:15am - 10am Week 2 Friday - 7:15am - 10am  Sunday - 5pm - 8:30am (next day) There is a possibility to pick up extra shifts if required.

Role Requirements A minimum Certificate III, IV or diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Nursing or equivalent Current NDIS Worker Screening Current CPI training (within 12 months) Medication Administration Certificate Epilepsy awareness and midazolam training Working with Children Check (WWCC) - highly desirable Safe Environment for Children and Young People Training - highly desirable Basic Continence Care and Infection Control will be highly preferred and if not, willingness to obtain these will be required.
