Job Summary: The Maintenance Specialist isresponsible for eliminating maintenance & breakdown related losses. They will be responsible for building capability in production and maintenance teams to deliver overall results. The role will oversee the defect mapping, preventative, corrective, and continuous improvement aspects of maintenance support for the site. This is a hands-on position where you must be available to be approachable and make sure that our staff is engaged.
Responsibilities: Own the Preventative Maintenance system for the assigned production area, focusing on defect handling, breakdown elimination, maintenance planning & scheduling. Support in carrying out preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for theassigned production area, Perform and manage planned and un-planned workflow tasks. Participate in defect mapping exercises, 5Ys, 5W1H, RCAs, fish bones and any other focused improvement tools. Collaborate with the rest of the team providing functional expertise and hands on support to execute. Assist with hands on general maintenance tasks as and when required. Undertaking and assist with specific project work upon request. Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
