Description The Role: Navantia Australia currently has an opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join the team out of its Garden Island, Sydney office. This is a fixed term contract until July 2025. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for all aspects of the development and management of the maintenance work packages on the AOR Ships including the development and update of the TM165 Report.

In this role, you will: Work with the Planning Manager to develop the Annual Work Plan and Annual Work Schedule detailing all planned maintenance activities for the year. Using AMPS develop the Main Work List and work packages for all maintenance activities. Develop work packages for survey and quote activities, defect rectification and Engineering Changes. Undertake planning activities for all maintenance periods including working with the Supply Team during the RFT, tender selection and issue of production work to selected subcontractors. Complete close out of a project in conjunction with the project team. Check, approve, scan and upload completed packages and OQE into AMPS. Prepare and issue reports detailing the status of work packages and the work list. Improve work force productivity by participating in lessons learnt and improving the systems and processes. Raise purchase requisitions within SAP for subcontracted work packages. During a Maintenance Period, work as part of a project team to undertake day to day planning activities, working closely with subcontractors, Customer Staff and other project team members. Support the MPM in work closeout and reporting of results including the compilation and updating of the Completion Report for a maintenance activity (TM165). As the ideal candidate, you will have: Technical/Trade Background – Cert IV or diploma or post trade qualifications Proven skills and experience in complex Work Package development and Planning Minimum 3 years' experience in trade work planning activities. Marine industry preferred. Strong Computer skills in maintenance management and planning using systems such as AMPS. Working knowledge of excel and other MS Office programs. Experience working in a project environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment. Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and with clients. Strong written and verbal skills. Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance.
