Alchemy Recruitment is currently assisting a leading coal mining company looking for a Maintenance Planner to work in an open cut coal mine located in the Hunter Valley.
About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, this role ensures that preventative maintenance master data is maintained and all corrective maintenance activities for the planner specific area are appropriately planned.
You can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
Review and maintain maintenance master data for 5-year Asset Strategy of respective work group.
Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance, major overhauls & shut down maintenance work for respective work group.
Create and maintain work orders and requisitions in CMMS.
Order parts/services, obtain quotes, create specifications as required to ensure quality assurance, and allow for future warranty considerations.
Manage the backlog and enter work orders into the rolling 16 Week plan.
Review & update preventative maintenance inspections for activity tasks related to time, costs and including instructions for the inspection.
Review and update any master data change as per requests or comments from maintenance execution teams or maintenance scheduling team.
Create and develop routine activity procedures for tasks which re-occur.
What are we looking for?
The experience and skillset best suited to this position includes:
Tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate.
Minimum of 5 years in the mining or heavy industry or processing plant with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS.
Minimum of 4 years practical planning experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in mining industry.
Current Unencumbered New South Wales "C" Class Drivers Licence.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred
Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations.
Formal qualifications in maintenance management/asset management/maintenance planning.
