As a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter - Leading Hand you will:Perform mechanical fitter duties and supervise the mechanical team in a manner that protects safety, health, and the environment, whilst conforming to quality and time requirements.Always ensure good housekeeping habits and maintain a safe worksite for yourself and fellow workers.Wood is seeking expressions of interest for Maintenance Mechanical Fitter – Leading Hand with proven Oil & Gas maintenance experience to join our team at the Ampol Refinery. Fully qualified/indentured mechanical tradesperson in one of the following disciplines: Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Motor Mechanic, or Diesel Mechanic.
Demonstrate a minimum of one year of oil and gas industry experience. Can work independently as well as lead a team of qualified and experienced Mechanical trades. In addition to the qualifications of level 6, demonstrate the ability and proficiency in hydrostatic/pneumatic testing of pipe work and equipment and reinstate as per P&IDs. Demonstrate the ability to perform pump alignment and proficient use of such equipment including laser alignment and dial indicators. Must be computer literate with an intermediate level of experience with MS Office. Has successfully completed a supervisory training course. Excellent people skills, flexibility to handle variable timeframes, and exceptional time management skills are required. Sober habits and a high level of emotional intelligence are essential.
