About the roleThe Maintenance Manager role is a dynamic position that combines hands-on maintenance and leadership responsibilities to ensure the effective operation of the College's facilities and infrastructure.

What you'll be doing Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to proactively address the upkeep of our facilities.Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to complete a variety of tasks, including building repairs, grounds keeping, and asset management.Monitor budgets and procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment to support maintenance operations.Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prioritise and schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to school operations.Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.Provide leadership, training, and performance management for the maintenance team.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient maintenance practices.What we're looking for Significant experience (5+ years) in a leadership role within a facilities maintenance or building services environment.Excellent knowledge of maintenance best practices, building systems, and regulatory compliance in an educational or institutional setting.Strong project management and problem-solving skills to coordinate complex maintenance activities.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff at all levels.Sound budget management and cost control capabilities.What we offerAt Scotch Oakburn College, we are committed to the professional development and wellbeing of our employees.
