The Parramatta Creek maintenance team is seeking a fulltime Leading Hand to work a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.
About the role The Leading Hand plays a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team and ensuring machinery is running smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the operation of processing machinery and equipment, ensuring all maintenance work is coordinated effectively and adheres to maintenance schedules. Ensuring maintenance and repairs of process machinery, plant, and infrastructure are executed safely and promptly, with all work and inventory updates logged in the MEX system. Identifying preventative maintenance needs for equipment to minimise disruptions caused by unforeseen failures. Managing all aspects of maintenance operations within your scope, including compliance with QA site requirements and administrative tasks. Located at our Parramatta Creek Processing factory, this is a full-time role operating on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.
About you Certificate III Trade Qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) and demonstrated experience in a similar position. Proven experience with MIG/TIG welding and MEX system. A current driver's license and forklift ticket. Effective verbal and written communication with confidence in your problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm while working in a changing environment.
