Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland's world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia's most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs approximately 430 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day, operating 4 days/week.
About the Role
Our Townsville Plant is currently searching for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our high performing team in a full-time capacity.
This is a unique opportunity to join a global organisation with a local community feel.
A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available. *Conditions apply.
The annual salary for this role is $73,150 -$80,000 plus superannuation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliancesFault finding and problem solvingUndertaking continuous improvement of plant equipment and systemsBeing actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repairTaking a proactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenance
About You
Must have Fitter and Turner trade qualificationsPrevious experience with maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to demonstrate integrity and a professional work attitudeSound computer skillsAbility to work a rotating roster consisting of both day and afternoon shifts
