Our Dairy Manufacturing and Distribution facility has a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as Maintenance and Reliability Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, Manufacturing and People, this key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Reliability functions.
Fostering and driving a culture of safety, reliability and continuous improvement to optimize plant performance, whilst ensuring compliance with our high quality and dairy industry standards, will be key to success in this gig!
Key responsibilities of the role include: Providing technical expertise, guidance and safety leadership to the Maintenance team;Coaching and mentoring team members to implement improved maintenance management and reliability processes and practices;Collaborating across Maintenance, Production and Distribution teams to improve plant performance and ensure production targets are met;Utilizing resources effectively to maximize efficiency, enhance reliability and drive cost improvement;Leading the effective planning of maintenance and reliability activities for all site assets, plant and equipment;Leading initiatives to identify and resolve equipment reliability issues through detailed root cause analysis and predictive and preventative asset maintenance programs;Managing all on-site contractors and contractor compliance programs and engaging relevant external expertise for any major breakdowns;Supporting the planning and execution of maintenance-related projects, including new technologies, automation process improvements and equipment upgrades;Managing the maintenance inventory budget and overseeing maintenance purchasing functions;Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation related to maintenance practices and engineering standards;Leading the team to ensure accurate preventative maintenance and reactive repair records, including Stores/Spares inventory usage are maintained;Ensuring all work undertaken complies with relevant WHS and Food Safety standards and legislation.What we are looking for: Engineering or Trade qualification with minimum 4 years' experience in a similar Maintenance and Reliability Management role in the FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry;Strong background in CMMS, inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite;Strong analytical skill set and ability to lead teams to troubleshoot, diagnose technical faults and resolve breakdown issues;Keen time management skills with the ability to proactively organize and prioritize maintenance and reliability activities, in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment;Demonstrated experience with asset lifecycle management and reliability improvement programs;Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead change management programs and enhanced operational performance;Demonstrated leadership skills in the ability to coach and mentor teams to achieve excellence;Proficiency in statistical reliability data analysis and reporting;Demonstrated industry knowledge in GMP and food manufacturing.
Familiarity with dairy manufacturing standards would be preferred, however not essential.The successful applicant can look forward to being a trusted and valued Leader and Team Member, working with highly experienced and close-knit Teams, in both Site Leadership and Maintenance functions.
