Your Purpose:
As a Maintenance and Grounds Support Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for Sundale's grounds, facilities, and equipment.
This role involves a variety of tasks, from general maintenance and repairs to potentially driving a bus to support the transportation needs of our community.
What You'll Do:
Grounds Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and presentation of Sundale's grounds, gardens, and facilities to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
Maintenance Support: Carry out audits and inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and complete any identified maintenance actions.
Respond to Requests: Promptly and professionally respond to maintenance requests in consultation with the Maintenance and Site Managers.
Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure repairs and maintenance work are completed efficiently.
Documentation: Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with legislative, professional standards, and contractual obligations.
Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of continuous improvement projects within the maintenance team.
Bus Driving: Assist with bus driving duties when required, providing safe and comfortable transportation for residents.
What We're Looking For:
Hands-on "handyperson" skills with experience in using basic maintenance equipment.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Experience in building relationships and effectively collaborating with team members and external contractors.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements:
Police Check
Pre-employment medical assessment
QLD Driver's License
Current CPR and First Aid Certificates (bus drivers only).
Completion of relevant trade or certificate-level training is desirable (e.g., pool maintenance, permit to work, horticulture).
Practical experience in a similar role.
