The opportunity The person we are looking for will be an Operational Fitter and will be part of our team, supporting production of a busy plant, working rostered shift hours.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Be reactive to breakdowns minimising downtime Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to maintain productivity of machines Assist in fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery Maintain stock levels of spare parts to assist in making components for repairs Update and maintain data records on works carried out Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety What you will bring to the team Hold a Mechanical Trade certificate and post trade qualifications in hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable Packaging industry experience would be of help Excellent verbal and written communication skills Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team Familiar with automation of high speed packaging machines Welding and Machining is preferred Forklift Licence When you join Visy, you're joining a global leader dedicated to making serious progress in the sustainable packaging and recycling industries.
