The opportunity: Coordinate the execution of targets, plans and deliverables as set out in the Copper String 2032 Local Economic Participation Plan (LEPP) to stated requirements and standards, working with internal and external stakeholders as required to enhance local skills, create employment opportunities and contribute to local economies.
Identify opportunities and partnerships with local suppliers and businesses to support regional economic well-being.
Integrate local participation into project planning and communicate the project's positive contributions to the region.
Work closely with the communications team to highlight organisational contributions and share success stories.
Ensure alignment with regional development goals and incorporate regional considerations into project design.
Maintain accurate records of regional engagement activities and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Supervise contractors in delivering LEPP initiatives.
Your expertise Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Community Development, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field; or a lesser qualification coupled with significant experience.
Experience in a role with considerable stakeholder engagement requirements, preferably within the energy, infrastructure or related sectors, or strong familiarity of the stakeholders operating in this industry.
Ability to navigate government compliance, policies, and regulatory environments.
Analytical skills to assess regional needs and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Understanding of sustainable development principles and their application to project planning.
Familiarity with regional areas, including challenges faced in regional areas of Australia.
