About the role
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents' choices and independence.
In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.
This is a permanent part-time position.
Shifts on offer are 4 days a week, 9am – 16:30 or 10:15 - 17:45. Skills and experience You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete)Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable)You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License and will be able to take clients on outingsSenior First Aid Certificate is essentialWillingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearanceYou have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care settingYou have highly developed organisation and time management skillsYou have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and OutcomesOur Culture
