Prince Alfred College is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys from ELC to Year 12 based in Adelaide, SA. Our purpose is to nurture each boy to develop into well-rounded young men of good character, who are prepared to contribute positively to society.
We are currently seeking a Library Technician to join the Secondary School Library team for 2025 to cover a leave of absence. Our Library team contributes to the provision of high-quality service to the library community.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a library environment, preferably gained within an educational setting. With relevant library qualifications, the ideal applicant will have a blend of technical expertise in library information management as well as a customer service focus.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the role of libraries and the important role they provide in the education of secondary students. The ability to connect with students, role model a love of literature and an understanding of how technology informs learning will be key. Of equal importance is an engaging and caring manner which welcomes all to our innovative and newly re-imagined library space.
This role is being offered for a 1 year contract for the 2025 school year, working 40 weeks over the year during school terms. Starting in January 2025, this is a part time position, working 4 hours per day, with the opportunity for some handover in December 2024.
