Leisure and Lifestyle Officer - Katherine Hostel About the role ARRCS Katherine are actively sourcing a skilled Leisure and Lifestyle (Activities) Officer to join their team on a casual basis only. This means that you will be contacted for available shifts and these will be on an ad hoc basis.
This exciting and rewarding role will see you develop and execute both mental and physical activities for our residents within our Katherine Hostel Aged Care facility.
This will include both on-site and off-site activities such as visits to the shopping centres, parks, recreational facilities and art and crafts, games and cultural activities within our facility.
As the successful candidate, you will have a passion for working with and supporting the elderly. You will be kind in your approach and understand how important mental and physical stimulation is for our residents. It is preferred that you have a Certificate III in Lifestyle/Activities or a similar discipline such as Aged Care or Individual care.

Skills & experience Prior experience working with the elderly or vulnerable people in either an activities, volunteering or a support position. Positive attitude and willingness to learn within the aged care and home care industry. Ability to work full time hours of 38 hours per week on a flexible roster that may include ad hoc weekends. Maturity to work autonomously with at times, minimal supervision. Experience working with and cultural understanding of First Nation People preferred.
