Legal Counsel at International Architecture PracticeLeading international multidisciplinary firm is seeking an accomplished and experienced Legal Counsel to join their team.
This will play a pivotal role as part of the global team and focus on the Australia & New Zealand territories.
You will be responsible for conducting and overseeing the contractual aspects of architectural and interior design projects, negotiating and preparing commercial agreements and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key responsibilities Conduct contract analysis - negotiate directly with client and draft a wide range of commercial contracts.Ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies by proactively monitoring changes in the regulatory environment which would impact the business.Act as Advisor concerning legal matters - comprising of contract law, employment, privacy, intellectual property law, commercial disputes, and effective management of legal proceedings.Identify risks and propose solutions to any issues that arise.Skills and experience Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within the building design and construction industry.Ability in taking a partnership approach with senior stakeholders within the business to provide commercially sound advice.Strong background in front-end construction law & demonstrated experience in negotiating agreements on major projects.Exposure to construction claims and dispute resolution and knowledge of the construction industry is desirable.Exceptional time management and organizational skills.High level attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments.Benefits & Culture Exceptional workplace culture.Employee Assistance Program.REFERENCE: Holly Anderson #67328 If the above position appeals to you then please submit your CV and if applicable, work samples (no more than 10mb PDF attachment) to and we'll be in touch.
