The College is pleased to announce, our VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Parade College will become co-educational in 2025. The College will welcome full-time female student enrolments for the first time in our long history, into Year 11 in 2025. Starting in Term 1 2025, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, will be expanding our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program will include a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy. Both academies will provide a bespoke educational opportunity that will allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course. (This exciting co-educational initiative is subject to final approval by VRQA)

Job Description The Position
The Learning Diversity Coordinator is responsible for managing and providing support to Neurodivergent Learners as well as Indigenous students, Students with Refugee Status, students who are New Arrivals/EAL and students who require adjustments to their learning.
The Learning Diversity Coordinator has a unique role to play and is assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live a purposeful life, with responsibilities that include:
assist with the identification of neurodiverse students, consult and collaborate with key stakeholders within the College community, and facilitate referral and assessment procedures;
deliver intervention, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation;
collaborate with class teachers and other relevant people to assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring and review of adjustments, as documented in the Personalised Learning Plan;
contribute to the provision of staff professional development and parent education programs;
contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy, confidentiality, and disability obligations, for example, pre-enrolment documentation, and assist in the preparation of submissions for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD);
support the development of inclusive learning environments; and
assist in the implementation of programs and processes to support students with disability.
The successful candidates for these positions will commence 28 January 2025. The leadership appointment is for a two year term, with an ongoing teaching position associated with these appointments. This leadership position attracts a Position of Leadership Allowance and generous time release per cycle.
This is a full-time position, which includes a teaching load (part-time applications will be considered) .
About You
The successful candidate for this role will be a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who has specialist training and expertise working with neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities. They will have excellent organisational skills together with interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working independently and in collaborative partnership with teams of teachers is also essential for this role.
A strong knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study skills, organisational skills and evidence of delivering effective targeted interventions are all desirable. The successful candidate will also be committed to the full life of the school and support of its Christian ethos.
All Staff are expected to support and participate in the faith life of the College, including commitment to the College's Mission, ethos, and participate in ongoing professional development and learning.
Candidates will be required to have, and maintain, VIT registration for the duration of their employment.
