Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards.
The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services.
We operate out of sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, which are all GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO 17025.
In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.
Job Description Lean Establish a common methodology for implementing lean principles in the laboratory. Ensure effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality test results at minimum cost. Manage stock levels on site in line with lean principles ensuring a minimum of 2 weeks stock is maintained for all items. Control access to consumable stock. Present, facilitate and lead assigned process improvement projects. Elimination of waste within the laboratory through management of equipment and supplies. Coordinate with related departments and functions to ensure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction. Continuous increase of productivity and efficiency in laboratory operations. Training of relevant staff for Lean principles throughout the organization. Culture Maintenance Maintain reference and clients' environmental isolates in appropriate conditions for their required storage periods. Maintain a log of all cultures on-site. Provide monthly cultures for use inside the laboratory as appropriate or as required. Purchasing Order all consumables for the site ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained. Ensure only approved suppliers are used for laboratory supplies. Generate POs for DUMN approval associated with official supplier quotes. Source as necessary for identified stock requirements. Other Carry out special projects as directed by the Business Unit Manager or other authorised delegates. Qualifications BSc or equivalent and a basic knowledge of GLP/GMP.
Additional Information This is a Full Time role (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of AUD$80,000- $90,000 base p.a.
