This includes undertaking both administrative and operational functions at the treatment facilities and pumping stations. The position will also be accountable for treatment quality and its conformance to all regulatory and compliance standards including E.P.A license requirements and exceedances.Qualifications & ExperienceCertificate III in Water Industry Operations (specialising in wastewater) or relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience.Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have & maintain)General Construction Industry White CardSignificant experience in wastewater treatment industryDemonstrated experience in delivering operational and capital works projectsTasks & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand all facets of wastewater treatment operations and equipment. Must be capable of running the facilities effectively in the day-to-day operations and respond appropriately in emergency situations.Supervision of staff including task delegation, monitoring staff performance, training and development, and developing a teamwork approach.In consultation with the supervisor, schedule and co-ordinate the procurement of services and materials for everyday operations and for the completion of maintenance and capital improvements.Provide project management support for capital and maintenance works undertaken at the various plants, ensuring they comply with Council's codes, policies and procedures and meet WHS requirements.In conjunction with the supervisor, make recommendations on improvements in the operational, maintenance, and design performance of the various plants.HoursBased on 38 hours per week, working 38 hours across a 7-day spread, with actual days and times being worked in accordance with facilities roster, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.BenefitsLive and work in a culture-rich location minutes from the Murray River, just a short drive to one of Victoria's best wine regions, and with the ski fields so close you will be zooming down the mountains in under two hours.Our employee benefits include professional development and flexible working conditions.
