The Genus Fleet workshop is based in Kenwick WA, with a combination of mechanics, auto-electricians, welders and fleet coordinators.
It is also supported by various depots around WA and nationwide, with fleet coordinators and mechanics servicing those depots.
The Benefits Long term, job security (Permanent, Full-time) Top hourly rates Monday - Friday Fantastic opportunity to join a growing ASX listed Company Access to our Employee Assistance Program for you and your family The Role As a Leading Hand Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for leading our busy workshop team with servicing, maintaining and coordinating the Group's large fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment.
Reporting directly to the Workshop & Fleet Manager.
Duties include but are not limited to: Lead our team of tradespeople to provide general servicing and maintenance for various light, medium and heavy road transport, EWP trucks, crane/borers for power line construction, underground horizontal boring, earthmoving equipment and plant.
Integrate new technology to existing structures of all plant and machinery, including component refurbishing.
Conduct performance testing on fleet vehicles and reduce equipment downtime with innovative problem solving.
Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.
Assist with quality control and completion of paperwork for repairs and servicing.
Coordinate day to day activities and provide direction and guidance to workshop team.
Assist Workshop & Fleet Managers with managing scheduled maintenance and breakdowns.
Essential Skills / Qualifications & Experience Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate 3+ years heavy duty diesel fitter/mechanic experience essential Experience or ability to demonstrate prior leadership responsibilities Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding A strong work ethic and ability to adapt to different environments and workloads Demonstrates a high level of safety and work ethic Efficient time management Desirable Skills Hydraulics experience highly desirable Experience with directional drilling and excavating equipment highly desirable Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights and Crane Tickets highly desirable Valid Australian Drivers License - "HR" Class If you feel you meet the selection criteria, and would be a good fit for the role, please click APPLY NOW!!
