Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) Job title: Leading Hand - Fixed Plant MaintenanceJob Summary:The Leading Hand - Fixed Plant Maintenance is a senior trades role responsible for overseeing hands-on maintenance activities and supervising a small team of skilled personnel. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the Leading Hand ensures that assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Support a safe work culture by consistently demonstrating positive safety behaviours.Encourage and support team members to identify, contain and report hazards in the workplace using the site safety systems.Coach team members in the use of pre-task safety tools as appropriate for the task to be done.Contribute to the continuous improvement culture of the business by identifying and contributing to opportunities that drive business resilience.Foster effective working relationships with processing, warehousing, maintenance planning, and administrative functions of the business.Provide leave coverage for the Supervisor maintenance execution.Undertake supervisory tasks as required on plant shutdowns.Support the execution of the approved weekly maintenance schedule.Provide one-on-one coaching for new starters or inexperienced trades on site maintenance systems.Assist the Supervisor with preparation of visual performance tools to manage team workflow.Qualifications and Skills:Mechanical trade qualifications and 3 years post trade experience in a mining or processing plant environment.Certificate level frontline leadership training.Hands-on experience with crushing, screening, milling, and conveying systems maintenance.Experience with pumping and hydraulic systems is advantageous.Hands-on experience with a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) such as Pronto or SAP.Understanding of the maintenance work management cycle.Clear verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated safety behaviours with the confidence to lead by example using site safety tools in the preparation and execution of tasks.Demonstrated technical experience with fixed plant maintenance activities.Demonstrated ability to manage small workgroups to achieve quality work outcomes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
