Overview of our role You will be empowered as a senior engineering leader within Jemena's Platforms Engineering group, responsible for spanning technical domains including Software Engineering, Platforms and Operations.
In turn, you will empower, support and collaborate with your diverse squads of engineers from both the Platforms Engineering group and external project contributors and vendors on key projects and initiatives that drive Jemena's strategic technology objectives. You will also closely coordinate and support the Integration & Automation Manager to foster a strong engineering culture and develop robust engineering practices across the group.
A little about you Experienced in designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions using a range of technologies like APIs, file transfers, and data streaming.Skilled in managing complex IT systems, particularly in cloud environments (AWS, Azure), with a focus on continuous improvement and security.Knowledgeable in container orchestration (Kubernetes), ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and meet business needs.Well-versed in Software Engineering, Cloud, Automation, and Security, with hands-on experience in DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).Passionate about mentoring and guiding engineering teams, fostering innovation, and creating technical roadmaps to support future growth.Qualifications / Certifications & Skills Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices for designing, building, testing, and running integration solutions.Skilled in leveraging cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to create scalable, high-performing solutions with minimal infrastructure overhead.Proficient in DevOps practices and automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).Passionate about fostering innovation, mentoring teams, and promoting the adoption of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.Why you should come and work for us Our people are our energy source and we offer meaningful benefits and rewards that work for you.
