22nd November, 2024Lead Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer - Azure - WFH/Hybrid - 1-2 days in office - $165-175K + Super - Sydney or Melbourne Locations

We're looking for a highly skilled and driven individual to join our client as a Lead Azure Infrastructure Engineer.

In this role, you'll help design, implement, and manage innovative infrastructure solutions and provide technical leadership to an Infrastructure/Cloud team.
What you'll be doing:Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions (Azure) that align with business needs and best practices.Manage cloud services, primarily within Azure, to improve system performance, scalability, and flexibility.Technical Leadership of an Infrastructure/Cloud team.Utilise IaC (Arm, Bicep, Terraform).Oversee on-premises servers and virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix), ensuring system stability and optimization.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively optimize capacity and scalability.Implement security measures to protect systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to integrate and optimize technology platforms across the organization.Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting, adhering to operational standards.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.Stay updated on emerging technologies, recommending new solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.Contribute to operational support, including service transition, change management, and incident resolution, following ITIL best practices.What we're looking for:Proven experience with cloud infrastructure management, particularly Azure (IaaS, PaaS).Strong background in managing on-premises servers, virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix), and Microsoft applications.Expertise in system monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.Experience with security best practices and risk management in both cloud and on-prem environments.Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, change, and configuration management.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.A proactive, innovative mindset, with a passion for staying ahead of technology trends.
