Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in our Perth Office.
You will work in a team of civil designers/drafters and engineers managed by our Principal Civil Engineer, as well as liaise with members of other discipline teams to work on mining resource projects that will be constructed all around the world.
Reporting to our Principal Civil Engineer, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Engineering input into the design of civil earthworks, roads, drainage, and stormwater by 12D civil designers.Managing the day-to-day running of civil earthworks design, civil designers, attending relevant meetings, and reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer on allocated projects.Undertake engineering calculations and reports.Review 2D drawings and 3D project models of civil works including earthworks, roads, and drainage in a timely manner to ensure compliance with design intent.Review of bulk earthworks, volume calculations, and material take-offs (Schedule of Quantities).Work with other discipline team members (e.g., concrete, structural, mechanical) and consulting firms to help ensure suitable integration at discipline interfaces.Provide engineering support for construction queries associated with project designs by liaising with on-site personnel.Support the Principal Civil Engineer with input into engineering estimates, resource, and schedule management.You will possess: University Degree in Civil Engineering.Minimum 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering.Experience in the design of site earthworks, roads, drainage, stormwater, sewerage reticulation (preferable but not essential), and other minor site infrastructure.Experience in the resource sector preferable but not essential.Lycopodium has a strong company culture focusing on career progression and technical skill development.
