Compare the Market is on the lookout for a driven Lead Business Analyst to join our vibrant team.
Based in Toowong, you'll be instrumental in empowering Australians to make informed decisions on insurance, finance, and household products, enriching their lives.
Your expertise will be pivotal in transforming challenges into innovative technical solutions.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you'll thrive in applying agile methodologies to enhance customer experiences across web, API, and mobile platforms.
Taking charge of quality and standards, you'll oversee and elevate the calibre of business analysis within our IT domain.
Your mentorship will shape the next generation of analysts, ensuring excellence across the board.
Main duties and responsibilities: In this crucial role, you'll play a pivotal role in our continued success by: Provide comprehensive support for software development initiatives across various IT realms, encompassing mobile, web, APIs, reporting, and data domains.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture business insights and requirements, translating them into precise technical specifications for the development teams.
Facilitate key activities such as exploration, planning, backlog grooming, iteration planning, and task estimation, ensuring streamlined project progression.
Proactively identify, communicate, and monitor dependencies to maintain project momentum and mitigate potential roadblocks.
Foster a culture of collective responsibility for quality within each team, empowering all members to contribute to troubleshooting, incident management, and ongoing improvements.
Lead by example in championing agile delivery methodologies, ensuring adherence to standardised practices across all Business Analysts.
Cultivate a profound understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects within your domain, leveraging this knowledge to enhance outcomes and streamline delivery processes.
Capture and articulate configuration rules and specifications with precision, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
Drive the enhancement and upkeep of business analysis practices and standards within the IT landscape, fostering continuous improvement and excellence.
About you: As our Lead Business Analyst, you are a dynamic problem-solver with a knack for translating business needs into technical solutions.
You thrive in fast-paced environments, where your analytical and communication skills shine.
You are a natural leader, adept at fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
You are adaptable, with fantastic attention to detail and a continuous learning mindset.
Tertiary qualification in Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or Business.
Possess Agile, Scrum Master, or Project Management certifications, if available.
Demonstrate expertise in adapting agile methodologies to suit team dynamics effectively.
Profound familiarity with the entire delivery lifecycle.
Exhibit exceptional communication skills for seamless collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in a senior BA role.
Showcase proficiency in developing and maintaining business analysis patterns and standards.
Skilled in stakeholder management and adept problem-solving abilities.
