Beyond Limits Outdoor Education (Beyond Limits) is a growing ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia and provides activity programs for groups who stay at Adare, Nunyara and Tarooki campsites as well as other sites across South Australia.
An opportunity exists for a permanent, part-time Lead Activity Facilitator to provide confident and positive leadership in the provision of experiential learning programs and to understudy the Program Coordinators with a focus of care and maintenance of activity equipment.
Reporting to the Program Manager; the Lead Activity Facilitator's tasks include:
demonstrate, by example, the provision of exceptional Christian hospitalityprovide day-to day direction to and supervision of activity facilitation staff ensure that activity equipment is stored, used and maintained in a safe and efficient manner and compliance checks are conducted in a timely mannerbe prepared to assist the Program Coordinators as opportunities arise
The successful applicant will be required to have experience in leading outdoor leadership / recreation programs and / or any formal tertiary or other qualifications in outdoor leadership / recreation. In addition, the successful applicant will have:
the ability to work unsupervised and to also work in a team environmentthe ability and willingness to be flexible and solution focuseda passion for developing the potential of young people.
Experience within the outdoor leadership / recreation and / or camp industry is expected. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are a must in this role, as is your demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination.
