Specimen Reception Laboratory Assistant - Casual RoleNew opportunity for an enthusiastic laboratory assistant to join an expanding team.Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. About the department: Austin Pathology provides comprehensive laboratory pathology testing to all the campuses of Austin Health. This service is provided in a manner consistent with the needs of a university teaching hospital and the strategic directions of Austin Health. High volume tests and most complex low volume testing are performed at the Austin Hospital. An expanding volume of point of care testing is performed at the majority of metropolitan and rural campuses.
About the role: An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Laboratory Assistant to join our Central Specimen Reception within Austin Pathology to fill a casual position. Central Specimen Reception operates a 24 hour service, 7 days a week. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to cover shifts across a 7 day rotating roster.
About you: As the Specimen Reception Laboratory Assistant, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
