Job Description About the role: MPC Kinetic is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Advisor to support Energy Services Team on a 14:14 roster in the Surat Basin, Queensland. Reporting to the HSE Coordinators, this position will:
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with company and client Safety Management Plans (SMPs), policies, practices, procedures and statutory requirements. Coach and mentor personnel to develop and improve safe work cultures. Support the Assist and Assure program. Promptly respond to all reports of unsafe conditions, unsafe activities and unsafe equipment and take appropriate corrective action. Monitor the application of Safety Management systems in the field. Develop and conduct effective business relationships with key stakeholders and other internal and external organisations as required. Ensure currency of knowledge of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards and training packages. Coordinate HSE training courses for all Project personnel. Assist with the scheduling and organising of onsite and offsite training courses, through Registered Training Organisations. Assist in the development of the HSE and Emergency Management Plans, Policies, Procedures, and monthly reporting. Ensure training compliance to policies, business systems and other relevant safety or contractual obligations. Conduct internal and external Audits and compile reports as per an agreed audit schedule. Coordinate and manage relevant systems and registers. Manage incident response and conduct incident investigations. Desired Skills and Experience About You: The successful candidate will ideally have 3+ years health and safety and/or relevant industry experience in a similar position. Exceptional written and verbal communication is necessary, partnered with strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent stakeholder management will see you excel in this position. You must be able to work well as part of a team and autonomously.
The required qualifications include: Diploma or Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE (40110) Lead Auditor OHS Management Systems (Desirable or willing to obtain) Workplace First Aid / CPR Current State/Territory Driver's License – Class C Certification in a recognized Drug and Alcohol testing program ICAM or Taproot investigation training No Agency submissions will be considered
