WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR The Liquor Co. 1977 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager for a full-time, permanent position. Our ideal candidate will have flexible availability (Monday to Sunday) and be comfortable commuting within the Greater Victoria Area.
Applicants must be 19+ years of age. We are a people-first business, with a strong focus on our customer and member needs. We are looking for a like-minded individual to join our dedicated team. We want someone who:
Has strong knowledge and experience working in the liquor business, a spirits' connoisseur (Oh là là) Brings a minimum of two years of management experience in a related field (this is a must!) Demonstrates ability to mentor, train, and develop a motivated team of at least 10 people. Has the ability to analyze market data and financial information to identify trends, grow our business, and enhance merchandising strategies Can effectively use computerized systems and applicable software. Has strong computer skills, Excel, Word, and other related sales tracking software required. Is an excellent communicator with great verbal and written communication skills. Values safety, integrity, and teamwork, and is a role model for both colleagues and customers. Is physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling products up to 50 lbs, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Can successfully pass a criminal record check. Has a current Serving It Right certificate (required in advance).
