Quality Engineers are responsible for ensuring the stability, availability and reliability of production platforms and applications through the planning and execution of testing, and the creation and execution of automated tools
The role: Liaise with Product Owners and developers to ensure that the planned testing meets the requirements. Create, run and maintain automated tests for features developed by the team. Work with the Automation Engineer to integrate the new automated tests into the main repository. Acquire and analyse all relevant documents for assigned projects to determine testing requirements. Perform functional and non-functional testing of the product. Participate in risk analysis activities. Work closely with developers to identify defects as early as possible (e.g. features and fixes walkthroughs). Raise any defects found during testing and escalate in accordance with set procedures. Help with the specification, setting up and maintaining of test environments. Actively collaborate with senior colleagues with the view of gaining additional technical and product knowledge Requirements: Understanding of SDLC and some knowledge of testing principles gained through education Competent use of Automation tools Ability to identify and analyse problems Understanding of business issues linked to the application being tested Strong technical and documentation skills Ability to learn and pick up new concepts quickly Ability to challenge in a constructive manger What's in it for you?
