About the role An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Legal Secretary to join aclose-knit and friendly team in our Perth office. This roleprovides the opportunity to work with and support a variety ofpractice groups across our Perth offices as required. This rolewill see you working closely with a Legal Secretary, to provideexceptional administrative support to the Lawyers in the group.
Your day-to-day tasks will be varied, and some of yourresponsibilities will include:
Opening of new files, and closing and archiving completedmatters Conducting conflict searches Solicitor diary management Telephone calls with clients, Courts, other law firms, andthird parties Arranging appointments and meetings Drafting and amending routine correspondence Collating briefs to Counsel Electronic and hard-copy filing Monthly billing, including invoicing and preparation ofbills General administrative duties including photocopying,filing, scanning, emailing etc. About you This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position and would bewell suited to someone with 1-2 years' experience as a JuniorLegal Secretary, or as an administrative assistant in anotherprofessional setting. A TAFE certificate in Business &Administration/Business & Legal is highly desirable, but notessential as full training will be provided.
