Position Summary:
Cai Lawyers is on the lookout for a motivated and proficient Junior Solicitor to enhance our legal team. With 2-3 years of post-admission experience, the successful candidate should be an adept Chinese speaker, legally qualified to practise in New South Wales (NSW), and equipped with a solid foundation in family law, commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and judgment enforcement. This role is suited to an individual who is capable of managing cases with a degree of supervision, displaying a proactive attitude and enthusiasm towards handling litigation matters in a dynamic legal setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Expertise: Deliver specialised legal advice and representation in family law, commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and judgment enforcement.
- Client Management: Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring legal solutions are tailored to their requirements and expectations.
- Case Handling: With support, manage a caseload from start to finish, including drafting of legal documents, settlement negotiations, and client representation in court and mediation.
- Research and Analysis: Perform detailed legal research and analysis to aid case strategy and preparation.
- Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards as mandated by the legal profession and NSW regulations.
- Language Skills: Employ Chinese language skills in both verbal and written form to better serve our diverse clientele and enhance client communication and relationships.
Qualifications:
- A valid Practising Certificate from the Law Society of NSW.
- 2-3 years of post-admission experience within a legal setting, with exposure to family law, commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and judgment enforcement.
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), with exceptional communication abilities.
- A proactive and eager approach to learning, with the ability to work under supervision and independently manage a significant caseload, achieving results within stringent deadlines.
- Outstanding analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A dedication to ongoing professional development and adherence to the highest legal and ethical standards.
