The Client Our client, is prominent energy corporation specialising in renewables. With over 800 global employees and experiencing significant growth, they're seeking to expand their legal team in Brisbane.
The Role This newly created role, stems from internal growth and promotion, demonstrative of their commitment to nurturing internal talent. This collaborative and dynamic team are seeking a junior lawyer where mentorship and professional growth is paramount. As a part of this, your key duties will include:
Reviewing and drafting preliminary advice on critical contract notices;
Maintaining a register of material key dates for key contracts;
Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations;
Facilitating lender approval requests under financing agreements and tracking responses;
Supporting daily legal tasks, including drafting various agreements and board resolutions;
Assisting in legal drafting, reviewing and amending complex commercial agreements;
Participating in contract negotiation and management; and
Handling occasional local compliance matters as needed.
About You The ideal candidates will be commercially astute with 2 to 4 years PQE. You will have proven experience in commercial or construction contracts and negotiation and you will also possess the following:
Experience working within a reputable (national, mid-tier or top-tier) construction, E&R, commercial team;
Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting due diligence across jurisdictions;
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively;
Ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
Motivated, pro-active and self-managing.
