Purpose
The Asset Management Business Partner will be responsible for developing Council's asset management capability across the organisation through leadership, partnership, guidance and support of key work areas.

The role is responsible for engaging with asset owners to develop optimised renewal and maintenance programming and planning, developing and reviewing Asset Management Plans in partnership and collaboration with Asset Owners and Subject Matter Experts.

A key objective of this position is to work with the organisation to develop skills and capability in Asset Management, building capacity in asset planning, maintenance planning and strategic modelling.

The Asset Management Business Partner will support change management across the organisation by assisting work areas in the implementation of Asset Improvement Plans and delivery of asset related projects.

Strong communication skills and ability to maintain solid relationships (with internal and external) stakeholders will be vital to this role.

Key Outcomes
Coordinating the end to end governance process for Asset Management Plans.
Partnering and collaborating with Asset Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Finance in order to create, review and update Asset Management Plans.
Leading and guiding Asset Owners to address Asset Management Improvement Plans, assisting hands on with teams where relevant.
Working with Asset Owners and Subject Matter Experts to develop optimised detailed asset maintenance and renewal programs through scenario modelling, ensuring alignment with Asset Management Plans.
Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of Asset Improvement Plans through Councils Project Management System.
Monitoring and reporting on metrics identified in the Asset Management Plans and the Asset Management Strategy.
Supporting change management for transformational asset management across the organisation through asset related projects.
Focusing on ensuring asset related risk in corporate registers are adequately mitigated.
Complying with existing Work, Health and Safety legislation and regulation obligations and apply "Think Safe Live Well" philosophy.
Embracing ethical and moral behavior and report any suspected instances of fraud and/or corruption in accordance with Fraud and Corruption Management and the Code of Conduct.
All other duties as required.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
Australian residency.
Australian Drivers Licence.
Advanced communication skills both written and verbal.
Qualifications
Obtained a degree or certificate in Asset Management, Engineering, GIS or appropriate and considerable relevant experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems.
Detailed knowledge of Asset Management.
Knowledge of optimised asset maintenance and renewal programming across a diverse range of asset classes.
Experienced in GIS.
Ability to use initiative and professional judgement where procedures are not clearly defined.
A proven track record of developing positive working relationships across a large organisation.
Highly developed change management and influencing skills.

Desired Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
An understanding of the integration of finance and assets management.
Experienced in modelling data in Assetic, Predictor or similar asset management information systems.
Experienced in application of a Continuous Improvement model.

Some outside hours work may be required.
