About the Role: As an IT Engineer at Pivotel, you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising our datacentre infrastructure.
You'll ensure that our network runs smoothly and efficiently, handling everything from virtualization and system administration to network monitoring and incident management.

What We're Looking For: Are you a highly skilled IT Engineer with a solid track record in designing and managing complex Virtualization and cloud infrastructure? We want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Linux platforms in virtualized environments, coupled with a solid experience with Fortinet security Fabric and networking principles.

Key Duties: Virtualization & Infrastructure Management: Maintain physical hosts and storage systems, define and implement network monitoring.
Occasionally install new racks and network devices.
Firewall and network device maintenance and monitoring.
Manage classic IT assets, including ongoing patch management and monitoring.
Provide support for IT incidents and prepare alarm escalation procedures for operations.
Backup Management: Configure and manage backup platforms (Comm Vault or Veeam experience preferred), optimize storage, and regularly monitor remote asset backups.
Incident Response: Take ownership of network incidents, ensuring quick resolution, and implement continuous improvements for services resilience.
Support & Reporting: Assist Level 1 support teams with complex IT and networking issues and provide monthly reports on the performance and status of the virtualization infrastructure and backups.
Skills and Experience: Strong experience with Linux Red Hat or Ubuntu platforms (minimum 2 years).
Strong experience with Fortinet products (Fortimanager, EMS, Fortigate).
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with backup management tools like Comm Vault or Veeam is highly desirable.
Experience with AWS and Azure networking and security is advantageous.
Experience in managing service provider and datacentre networks.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership during incident response.
Fluent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
