This role involves overseeing the IT team, ensuring network and data security, optimizing technological resources, and driving IT initiatives that align with business objectives. The Director of IT will act as a strategic partner across the organization, providing insights and leadership to foster innovation and operational efficiency.
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.Lead and mentor the IT team, including IT managers and system administrators, fostering a high-performance culture.Collaborate with senior leadership to drive technological innovations in both hardware and software solutions.Provide guidance on emerging technologies and their potential impact on the company's products and operations.Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems to support both product development and business operations.Manage cloud services and on-premise solutions, ensuring they meet the company's needs for flexibility, security, and cost-efficiency.Security and Compliance:
Lead efforts to safeguard the company's data, intellectual property, and systems through robust cybersecurity policies and practices.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Vendor and Budget Management:
Manage relationships with external vendors, including software providers, hardware suppliers, and managed service providers.Negotiate and oversee contracts, ensuring cost-effective procurement and optimal service delivery.Prepare and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring spending aligns with strategic priorities.Operational Efficiency:
