Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at our brand-new facility on the Gold Coast. As a key member of our Emergency and Critical Care team, you will work closely with our experienced team of emergency vets to provide gold-standard intensive care to critical patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Critical Care Specialists to provide high-quality intensive care to critical patientsAssist with and/or perform advanced interventions such as central line placement, arterial pressure monitoring, and mechanical ventilationParticipate in and lead CPR resuscitation effortsAssist with admissions and discharges from the ICUDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skillsConduct and collect laboratory samples for internal and external analysisAssist with transfer to and reception of critical care referrals from general practice veterinariansSupport the emergency department with triage and procedural responsibilitiesRequirementsCompleted a Certificate IV in Veterinary NursingA minimum of 4 years, full-time experience as a qualified nursePrevious experience in Emergency and ICU would be highly regarded but is not essentialWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rates of payOpportunities for career growth8 weeks of SASH paid parental leave for all new parentsExcellent work-life balanceSupportive team of SASH specialists, clinicians, and experienced nurses
