Full-Time PermanentClassification: SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $85,205 - $91,686 per annum + SuperannuationSalary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each yearRemote or hybrid working arrangements are available for this positionAbout your new role The Intake and Assessment Officer is part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, delivering high quality mental health intake, assessment, triage, and referral services for individuals in the community who experience mental health issues and are seeking support. The priority of the HtH IAR Service is to connect people seamlessly to the most appropriate local service to meet their identified needs, consistent with the 'stepped care' approach.
Intake and Assessment Officers will provide an initial identification and assessment of individuals' needs, as well as assist people requiring general information. The officer will have responsibility for undertaking an assessment using the Commonwealth's Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST), and work closely with their team to determine the level of clinical oversight, and key decisions required in matching people with the appropriate support service.
The Intake and Assessment Officers will work as part of a collaborative team approach, supported by the clinical mental health team, including the clinical leads, and will have regular opportunities to reflect upon their practice and access comprehensive training and supervision. Some administrative tasks will be part of the role to support the team.
