Applications are sought for an Infection Control Facilitator at the Mater Private Hospital Mackay. Salary range: $54.21 - $58.08 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging of up to $15900 per annum.
About the role The Infection Control Facilitator ("ICF") shall undertake responsibility for the development of programs, policies, and processes that align and comply with contemporary infection control practices, applicable legislative regulations, and standards. The ICF shall collaborate with Departments and the Quality Manager to ensure initiatives and programs are consistent and applicable to the Hospital's operational and strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing Develop, manage, and evaluate governance of infection prevention and control systems, related programs, and services.Design, coordinate implementation, and undertake evaluation of the healthcare facility's infection prevention and control program and policies in compliance with the respective state and national accreditation, licensing, policy, or regulatory requirements.Provide expert infection prevention consultancy and strategic direction to the healthcare facility.Assist on decisions regarding facility construction and design, patient placement ratios, and environmental assessments.About you Demonstrating the necessary qualifications and knowledge of the AS/NZS 4187:2014 and AS/NZ 5369 and the NSQHS standards associated with the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections are key features of the role.
