Our team of flexible thinkers and detail-obsessed professionals believes that the right fit can lead to a happier life and business success.About the RoleReporting to the IR/ER Manager, you will join the Chandler Macleod People and Culture team, providing expert advice and guidance on a range of employment and industrial relations matters across our businesses.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the IR/ER Manager in developing and implementing Employee Relations initiatives and programs aligned with business strategies.Provide support for strategic organisational initiatives, including business transformation, restructuring, and enterprise bargaining.Prepare submissions and represent the organisation before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals and courts.Aid in designing the Employee Relations strategy alongside the IR/ER Manager.Manage Employee Relations issues, including performance and conduct case management.Promote a safe working environment by investigating complaints of bullying, harassment, and discrimination.Monitor external trends, case law, and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.Ensure workplace changes are managed in consultation with stakeholders and in line with legislation, industrial instruments, and policies.Deliver education and coaching on Employee Relations to the business.Provide advice on employee relations, industrial instruments, policy interpretation, and employment issues.Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with the broader P&C team and specialized functions to develop solutions, programs, and policies.Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, or a related discipline.Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues.Solid understanding of compliance practices, including the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment/industrial laws.Experience interpreting industrial instruments and drafting employment-related documentation.Strong organisational and coordination skills, with a willingness to handle administrative tasks.Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders on employee matters.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
