About the Role:
The Advisor is part of the Inclusive Support and Advice team responsible for engaging with SA government preschools and schools to build capability around effective whole site inclusive planning for children and students with disability. This role involves providing advice on inclusive education practices, utilising data to inform decision-making for interventions and ensuring compliance with relevant disability legislation. The Advisor focuses on influencing practice changes through strategic engagement with diverse stakeholders, delivering programs as part of strategic improvement and reform processes, and promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
The Advisor is part of the Statewide Inclusive Education Services team which provides a state-wide service for educators, families and caregivers of children and students with diverse needs. The role requires highly collaborative working relationships with staff across the department, other jurisdictions and external agencies/organisations.
The role will provide timely, strategic, informed and future-orientated advice and support about policies, programs, pedagogical practices, strategies and learning environments that best support children and students. This may include direct support (via advisory service, Teams, centre consults, and site visits) and advice around personalised learning processes for educators, parents/caregivers and external agencies, provision and use of specialised technology, resources and equipment, development and delivery of training packages, and delivery of projects which focus on evidence informed practices, programs, supports and adjustments to deliver strategic priorities.
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
$131,264 to $135,204 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
