About the Role Selectability is seeking a Human Resources Officer. This position is based in Townsville at our corporate head office. The Human Resources Officer will be required to coordinate HR activities across Selectability's footprint and is integral in supporting the General Manager, Team Leaders, and other employees throughout this footprint.
Main Duties The Human Resources Officer's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment for the teams, including: Placement of job adverts Candidate screening Coordinating interviews Guiding new starters through the onboarding process Preparing employment contracts Coordinating performance reviews Exiting employees Ensuring human resource compliance requirements are met Managing employee learning and competencies Providing support to leaders in performance management matters Managing grievances in a fair process About You To be considered for this rewarding role, you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction and work as part of a team. To be successful you must:
Experience in human resources Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation Experience in community mental health (NDIS or aged care) is highly desirable Be extremely organised and efficient with an eye for detail Have well-rounded administrative skills and experience Respect and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality Have excellent interpersonal skills Good written and verbal communication skills Experience in having difficult conversations Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams Demonstrated experience in databases; experience in TRACCS and PageUp would be highly desirable Have a genuine interest in progressing your career in human resources and, most importantly, a positive attitude!
