Golding currently have an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources/Industrial Relations Specialist to join our HR team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the HR Manager (Support), the successful candidate will have strong and demonstrated capability in providing effective HR/IR advice and support to leaders across multiple project and operational sites. Golding offers flexible working conditions, including working from home and in our Brisbane office. Regular travel to our project sites will be required.
Key Role Tasks Include:
Partner with leaders across multiple project sites to support the implementation of their business strategies and objectives;
Provide HR/IR advice including the interpretation of relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements;
Participate in the negotiation and successful implementation of enterprise agreements;
Liaison with the Payroll team regarding the application of industrial instruments and payroll queries;
Provide advice and support in relation to performance management, issue resolution, performance and capability assessments, and salary review processes;
Conduct effective workplace investigations;
Provision of advice and support to effectively manage union right of entry;
Deliver training to leaders and other personnel on a variety of HR and IR topics;
Prepare employment contracts and internal employee correspondence as required;
Identify emerging issues in a workplace and assist in developing strategies to mitigate risks and for improvement;
Develop effective relationships with leaders at all levels of the business and with external stakeholders as required.
Key Role Capability Requirements:
Degree level qualification in Law, Human Resources, or related field is essential;
Experience in a similar role within the mining and civil construction industry is highly preferred;
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and contemporary HR/IR policies and processes;
Proven experience in negotiating enterprise agreements and in supporting leaders with right of entry;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Solutions focused with strong influencing skills;
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
