Role And Responsibilities Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide strategic HR support.
Managing employee relations matters to promote a positive and productive work culture.
Navigating complex industrial relations landscapes, fostering effective relationships with unions and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Developing and implementing performance management strategies to elevate individual and team effectiveness.
Providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and practices to promote fairness and consistency.
Conducting thorough investigations into ER/IR issues and recommending appropriate resolutions.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
Proven experience of 5+ years in HR, with a focus on both Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR).
Solid understanding of performance management principles and their practical application.
In-depth knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
Proven experience in grievance management and mediations.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
Prior experience in a local government context or public sector will be highly regarded.
