The Opportunity The WHS Officer is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to safety policies and procedures within the workplace.
The role involves conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and standards in Australia.

Learning & Development opportunities and direct support to achieving a Cert IV/ Diploma qualification in a relevant discipline.
Key Accountabilities Conduct regular work environmental assessments, internal audits and safety reviews such as risk assessments and hazard identification.
Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures.
Coordinate emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid training.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and investigations.
Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies.
Support P&C Business Partners with workers compensation claims, insurer liaison and return to work coordination.
Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes, preventive measures and the reporting of such.
Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks with the support from Senior Management.
Maintain understanding of WH&S regulatory and modern law requirements.
What sets you apart from the rest?
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a WHS role, preferably within Employment Services.
A diploma or degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.

Cert IV in Work Health and Safety) Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports.
Proficiency in using WHS management systems and software.
