We are now looking for a values-driven HR Advisor to join our small, highly effective HR BP team.
What would I be doing?Based out of our Townsville Office, you will be working within the wider People, Learning and Culture Team, reporting to the Human Resources Team Leader.
You'll be providing contemporary advice and guidance to management and employees regarding legislation, our policies, procedures, and values to ensure our employees can provide the best possible service to our clients.
As a non-profit organisation that provides vital support and services to children and adults with disabilities and older Australians in Queensland and northern New South Wales, we employ approximately 3000 staff, with rostered Support Workers on shift 365 days a year.
This means, no day is the same, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in some complex case work.
You will be responsible for a geographical area of Service locations, providing quality value-added Human Resource advice through the entire employee life cycle.
Experience of workplace investigations in a large complex organisation is required, alongside the ability to draft policy and deliver projects.

What would I need to be considered?Demonstrable experience in a similar role for a large organisation.Proven ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements together with policies and procedures.Well-developed skills in the application of contemporary HR practices.Proven ability to proactively partner with managers to resolve HR issues and drive improvements.High level of competency in analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent influence, negotiation, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs to meet the needs and strategic direction of the organisation.Effective presentation and group training skills.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office computing applications and HRIS experience.Tertiary qualification in HRM or a related field.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter.
