Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.
Purpose of the Role: We are currently seeking a HR Advisor to join our Human Resources Team at our Lobs Hole site on a 14/7 FIFO or DIDO Roster. The successful applicant will provide accurate expertise to managers and employees, ensuring our strategic objectives are not just met, but exceeded, through your support and consultancy services to managers and employees in the delivery of organisational strategic objectives.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to this nation-building infrastructure project in a highly challenging role and unique environment. Qualifications: Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology, or relevant field - preferred White Card About you: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role - preferably in the construction industry Knowledge and experience in the application of HR systems and processes Project Management experience - ability to plan, implement & manage longer term initiatives Knowledge of the Fair Work Act Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong Initiative and proactive nature Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Well-developed time management skills High attention to detail Exceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Key Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate the Adoption of HR Information Systems: Implement the integration of cutting-edge information systems tailored for HR functions, while also providing training and support as required. Navigate Performance and Conduct Challenges: Work closely with managers to address and resolve performance or conduct issues, ensuring alignment with legal standards and our project's policies. Maintain Organisational Structures: Regularly update our project's organisational charts, collaborating with HR administrators to maintain accurate team structure. Transform Data into Decisions: Gather and analyse data, crafting insightful reports that drive our strategy forward. Cultivate Our Culture: Play a key role in embedding our project's culture framework, fostering an environment that reflects our core values and goals. Empower HR Innovation: Partner with managers to create and implement HR initiatives that improve our desired workplace culture and business objectives. Define Internal Job Descriptions: Assist in developing detailed position descriptions that set the stage for individual and team excellence. Enhance Performance Management: Support the execution of a robust performance development and review process, promoting clarity and accountability for stellar business results. Educate and Lead: Deliver impactful training sessions on HR topics and craft policies that shape our project's workforce. Craft Key Documentation: Generate essential employment contracts and internal communications with precision and care. Address Workplace Challenges: Identify and tackle emerging workplace issues, devising strategies to minimise risks. Foster Strong Connections: Engage with all workforce levels and comfortably handle a variety of issues, strengthening relationships with project leaders and external partners. Ensure Compliance and Support: Provide guidance and support for counselling, discipline, conflict resolution, probation, return to work, and performance evaluations, conducting thorough investigations when necessary.
