The Purpose The Human Resource Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of effective human resources frameworks, policies and procedures that ensure the Myuma Group's ability to attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged and committed workforce through the provision of systematic, coordinated services across each Company. Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Operations, the Human Resource Manager position is to provide leadership and management of the HR Department ensuring services are cost effective and aligned to the organisation's strategic business plans.
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) Lead human resource management and industrial relations, ensuring the various business units are legislatively compliant.Work cohesively with Senior HSEQ Advisor for Return to Work staff implemented plans and work conditions.Management responsibility for the employment function and its operations.Development of all employment contracts in accordance with relevant awards and legislation.Provide advice and support to Department Managers on relevant policies.In conjunction with the Senior Management and Departmental Managers to ensure all training and professional development within the organisation is strategically linked to organisational needs.Maintain Staff Training Matrix.Provide support and mentoring to Departmental Managers in the area of people management.Be the liaison or contact point for internal and external clients of the Myuma Group.Lead the development and application of HR/IR policies and procedures.Qualifications in Industrial Law and Human Resource Management.Comprehensive understanding of the legal, political and industrial relations framework.Ability to liaise, mediate and negotiate with all levels of staff and employer associations.Demonstrated experience in day-to-day supervision of people and ability to lead a diverse team.Demonstrated computer literacy skills, including competence with Microsoft Office suite.Sound and accurate judgment, effective communication, treats people with respect, works ethically and with integrity.Flexible working approach - This position is based in Mount Isa and Camooweal with extensive Remote Community site visiting required.WWCC (Blue Card).What We Promise Work with a sustainable value-based pioneering Aboriginal organisation.Work closely with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people across an extremely diverse group of businesses.Be a key member of an innovative and committed team.A high performing provider and career advancement from within.What We Can Offer Accommodation in a shared unit (single person only) in Mount Isa or Camooweal Camp.Paid travel from major cities in QLD (Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns).5 weeks annual leave.This position can be DIDO, FIFO or local.How to Apply To apply for this role simply do so by submitting your Cover Letter and CV via Seek.
