We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Advisor to join our team!
In this pivotal role, you will provide expert advice and assistance in all aspects of HSEQ, ensuring that a safe and compliant workplace is maintained at all times.
Your primary responsibility will be to empower leaders across various business units to take ownership of safety, enhancing safety practices and fostering a culture of excellence within the organisation.
Position is Monday - Friday (FIFO or DIDO) in Moranbah, QLD with monthly travel requirement to Muswellbrook NSW.

What You'll Deliver with Us As a Senior Safety Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our safety strategy.
You'll build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, service providers and regulators to ensure best practices in safety, culture, and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing safety plans that align with strategic objectives, emphasising leadership and engagementSupporting the implementation of WHS initiatives and ensuring adherence to safety standardsDriving the delivery of complex safety projects and investigationsCollaborating with business leaders to improve safety metrics and address exposures effectivelyYour Role Will Involve: Cultivating trusted partnerships with operational leaders to implement safety initiativesOffering expert advice and ongoing coaching to drive sustainable safety improvementsOverseeing the local implementation of safety management systemsOverseeing Project Management Quality Assurance and collating Manufacture Data Reports for client sign offSupporting Managers in conducting thorough incident investigationsDeveloping risk initiatives that align with our safety strategy and sharing safety learnings to foster a robust safety cultureAnalysing incident trends and identifying opportunities for improvementMaintaining Workers Compensation reporting, injury management and return to work co-ordinationAbout You You're an exceptional communicator with a knack for building relationships and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience: Cert IV in WHS or Tertiary qualifications (but not essential)5 years of experience in safety roles within large organisations with experience in mining or civil (preferable but not essential)Strong skills in interpreting and implementing safety regulations, standards, and policies.Proven experience in investigation, auditing, and developing safety solutions.Experience in strategy development and safety plan execution with positive outcomesStrong influencing and relationship-building skills, including experience with unions and HSRsIn-depth knowledge of safety legislation, transport and mining operations preferableCurrent Australian Drivers LicenceCandidates will need to be prepared to undertake a pre-employment screening including medical.
